Overview

ANYA (2019) is a contemporary sci-fi love story about newlyweds whose seemingly simple decision to have a baby catapults them to the center of an explosive genetics mystery with far-reaching consequences for their child and the future of humanity.

The story is fictional. The underlying anthropology and genetics are real.

Behind the Scenes

We worked closely with geneticists from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Ting Wu and Dr. Ruth McCole.
We filmed in streets, homes, and business throughout New York City and at a genetics research lab at Carnegie Mellon University.
